What do you consider to be the biggest mistake you ever made, and why do you think you made it? Would you like to learn how to avoid making blunders that have continued to mark your life?
Take a few minutes, exchange those moments for attentiveness, and allow me to introduce you to a new stimulating way to think about your life and ideas. I believe that the next few moments can perhaps produce for you tens of thousands of dollars or even millions for your life and or business. How many great inspirational ideas do you think you may have had but never took the liberty to do anything with? You would be surprised at the number of great ideas you came up with that could have dramatically changed your life. For some reason you couldn’t muster up enough mental strength and focus to implement your ideas.
Ideas can easily slip away through passive focus. You can know what you want to do, but you may not realize what you have to do until your situation becomes critical. This is where most people are in life and business, and until they learn how to strike a balance between aptitude and attitude they will continue to live their life out of balance. Mistakes can easily hide out in the spheres of situations right before they hit the status of critical.
Do you feel like your life is slipping away? Are you receiving the return you expect on your most important asset? You may be wondering, “What is my most important asset besides myself?” Time is your most important and yet crucial asset because without it you cannot exist. When time isn’t valued, mistakes are usually made. Tuning into specific principles can help you to re-think the critical processes that create and nurture a culture of excellence and a culture defined by your personal, family, or organization’s vision, mission, and values, rather than a culture that occurs by default.
This is the age of knowing what you’re made of, and it’s time to re-think possible. First, if there is such-a-thing as un-thinking something, this is the time. To un-think essentially means, to unlearn. In fact, it is the process of ridding one’s mind of the knowledge or memory of something or to literally break the habit or end the practice of something. Un-think impossible and then re-think possible. Own up to your mistakes and do not ignore your mediocrity so that you can retool your life and business to conquer your opposition.
If time is in the constant mode of change, it is no small wonder why people, mentalities, businesses, technology, money and how it’s made is constantly evolving. Everything around you is changing, why aren’t you! Some people mentally retire in life long before they retire physically. How can you expect to be great without doing anything great? Whether you are the head of a business, the head of your own company, the head of your family or yourself, to drown in a pool of “I do know what to do” is not optional.
People do not drown because they fall into water that is over their heads; people drown because they stay in water over their heads. The same person who falls into twenty feet of water while fighting the water to keep from sinking and drowning, usually ends up floating on top of the water after all the fighting is done and they drown. The first thing people entering deep water need to know is not to panic because only then can you relax your mind and body, and then float.
Panic usually invades your thinking when a rational instruction such as ‘don’t panic’ no longer makes sense. To never have learned how to swim doesn’t mean that you don’t know how to swim. A person didn’t know how to drown until they drowned. Therefore, you may not realize that you can upgrade your life, compete with your competition in business, or change your financial situation until you do.
To never have learned something is not an excuse to never do it. You can do what you have not learned. Learning to do something is simply realizing what you could have done all along. Learn to Re-think possible!
