Are You Dying From What You’re Eating Or Are You Dying Because Of What’s Eating You?
What keeps you in the game is when you know someone else has done what you are endeavoring to accomplish, than you know you can do it to. It’s easy to see someone else do something and then believe you can do it to. But what happens when there is no record of anyone ever accomplishing or even attempting what your dream has inspired you to do?
Do you have that feeling deep in your gut that it’s time to go for it…tackle the one thing you’ve waited your whole life to make happen. That feeling, that thought, when you feel you are against the odds, but someone else has already done it, and you have that belief, that drive and determination that you can do it too.
This crazy feeling swimming around inside your gut is the audacity what will keep you strong and persistent, always challenging yourself to do it. When you have a real to life dream, it becomes necessary that you live this dream.
There is talk about how people are slowly dying because of what they eat. I say that might be true, however, many people are dying from what’s eating them. When you know that you can do more than what you’re doing, have more than what you have…life will eat you up. It will slowing eat away at your self-confidence, your inner belief…you will regret not ever having lived your dream. You will feel a hurt inside that you cannot explain. You cannot pinpoint where it hurts, you just know it hurts. It is a pain that literally pokes you from the inside because you know that life holds more for you than what you are presently experiencing.
Understand something, when you are seeking what your purpose is and you are feverishly working to make life work for you, instead of you working hard to make a life… life takes on a new adventure. It is mentally healthy to have a dream to pursue because it keeps your mind engaged. When you decide to settle to be less than what you are, to enjoy less than what you are capable of producing, and to settle back on the comfort chair of mediocrity…you will begin a slow descent into your demise.
People with a dream live longer lives than people without one. When you have a dream to live, you are better off than the person who has to live with no dream at all. You will have a different kind of energy about you. Not only are you extending your life, but you are adding life to your years, making it more enjoyable. This is when you understand that your dream is not optional, it’s necessary. You have this acute awareness that if you don’t do something about your dream, it’s going to eat at you and drive you crazy.
You got to find your thing! Whatever it is, it is necessary that you do it. Until you own your dream, it will remain a fantasy or a wish. Stop walking around with a long face and a short pocketbook. The moment you realize that your dream is not optional, but that it is necessary, you will discover your own life force. In fact, the prison that held you back was not a prison at all, but rather a figment of your imagination.
