What separates the very good from the very best? One of the key principles of life and business is always searching for ways to get better at what you do because it is not how good you are it is how good you want to be. Life has rules and understanding those rules will help you stay in the game of life.
There is a difference between being wise and being smart. Smart people generally know how to do something, but wise people understand why you do it. Wise people may not be as knowledgeable as those who are considered smart, but they realize how to employ the expertise of others to create the wealth they desire. Knowledgeable people are usually the employees of people who operate in wisdom. Wise men and women are accustomed to making the kind of choices that smart people have calculated as impossible. Sometimes knowledge can get in the way of just plain simplicity, confusing the simple as complex. Calculating every move can prove to be a waste of time and it may signal that fear is chauffeuring you around rather than faith.
It takes faith in God, faith in yourself, and faith in your mentors to develop a mental toughness during these ever-shifting economic and speculative times. Confidence does not eliminate or undermine the importance of knowledge; it simply moves knowledge down the list of priorities when it comes to using the appropriate components to accomplish difficult tasks. When you possess an inadequate amount of knowledge or when times do not call for knowledge because the potential of your knowledge cannot be measured or used, as a way to accomplish a particular thing, there is a more useful, intangible ability. There are times when the situation is beyond knowledge that it requires belief in oneself that is predicated on faith; and that faith will find a way to make the impossible possible.
If you are going to be successful, if you are going to accomplish the goals you have set for yourself within the next twelve months, you will be required to transition from one mindset to a greater one that is conducive to handling the explosiveness that your life is going to experience. It is necessary that you be fully committed to your dream. I believe a connection to the right mentor will be the bridge to living your dream. You cannot fake a connection. The sure sign of someone being connected to a mentor will reflect in that mentor becoming the transitional bridge between them existing in life to actually living life. The voice of a mentor is the bridge that allows the dreamer to have access to their dream life.
People, to some degree, have this picturesque ideal life, which many would love to live. Most people have aspirations that they would love not being encumbered with exasperation. Are you tired of living the life that does not match up with the life of your dream? Do you see your dream on one side while your job is on the other side and would want nothing more than to get from the job that you hate to your dream that you love. If this describes you, you need to build a transitional bridge and have a transitional strategy. A proper mentor connection can help you get into the environment of your dream. Success leaves clues while failure leaves you with the blues. There are two ways to learn-mistakes and mentors. Advisors are everywhere. Avoid going after someone who is available; pursue someone who is qualified.
There are three things that must be adhered to that will become the catalyst to your turning point, from what was to what is, and transition your life into high-octane synergistic energy. Remember that in every orange seed is the blueprint for increase, multiplication and/or duplication. Your best work will be on display when you are proactive. Here are the three transitional strategic steps.
- Do Not Place New Wine Into Old Wine Skin. (You cannot pour new wine into old wine skin without the acids from the new wine cracking and sipping through. In other words, you cannot get new results with an old way of thinking.)
- Water the Seeds in Your Own Personal Life Garden. (Whatever you water grows. Use the books you read as water for your mind. Readers are leaders!
- Get Connected and Stay Connected. (Being “appropriately-connected” means a lot in our society. It means everything in nature – it’s a Web of Life. All species and populations in isolation accomplish little. It’s only when they are linked that things begin to happen and ecosystems begin to work.)
The right connection can be the bridge to your success or the wrong connection can be the downward escalator to your demise.
