Dr. Brown, if I had taken this quiz a year ago, it would have been a lot different that today. I am so glad that I have changed and now I am a better person and that I really do know myself. I am more bold in the thing that I use to be afraid to try and do. Now when things seem to look uncertain and unpredictable, then I just put my trust in the Lord and place my hand in his. I remember that verse in the bible, that I must become as little child and let Him lead me.

I would not want to be stranded on a island with the other person being myself. I would want someone that I could learn from and can learn from me. I tend to go strait to Jesus/God when I am faced in a challenge. Many times I seem to have the answer in me. Once I have done everything I know to do according to my knowledge and ability and if it still doesn’t seem to show much progression, then I go to someone of more wisdom in that area. I will be honest that I am not always accustomed to change but willing to go through it in the end. I don’t always like what I go through, in the end I know it produces strength, and wisdom. I would rather be with someone that will sharpen me and help me grow. Before haveing Jesus & being born again in I would have ended my life a long time ago.

I like change…I just want to be the one making them (changes). I like the uncertaintly and upredictability of change when I’m embarking on an adventure…like traveling to a foreign country or learning a new language. I still get uneasy, though, in certain areas…finances, relationship….those things I can’t control, so the challenge is greater.

I took a few minutes and answered the survey questions. I wasn’t surprised to find that even though I recognize change is immenant, I still don’t like it. But I never realized what the result of that type of mentality led to; someone with less than creative problem solving skills. That’s the truth about what I’m facing. I’m trying to learn to enjoy the process of change instead of my usual anger and dread (when facing a challenge).

Thank you, first of all, for doing the “Taking Control Of Your Life” videos. I had to do something I was uncomfortable with and that was sit down and look at my bills and debts.

The quiz told me what I already knew about myself, I want to handle things on my own but I don’t have all the tools I need to overcome adversity when it comes, I need to seek others for help, I want to but I find it difficult to tell others my problems, So even though I know myself I don’t feel free sharing my problems with others and I know it is a bad thing, so just knowing who you are is only a part of it I need to seek others for help.
