I have finally realized that I really don't know it all and even though I tend to do things well, I am still a bit clueless. One thing I have known my whole life is that I was going to be someone great and I was going to succeed at whatever I was going to do. Thinking back, I never really had a clue on what I would do. I just knew I was different and that I would be great. Now the dilemma; how do you know if what you are doing is what you should be doing? This is one thing that keeps me thinking at night and I don't want to be a disappointment but who do I ask without feeling bad. I just want to be on the path for my life and I do not want to waste it and I want to be undeniably sure that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. I am a success; but I am still unsure - what I am a success at. How do you become certain and sure about what you are doing? I just thought I would ask what everyone else may be thinking...

Mentorship is great!! What's hard is finding that "Qualified Mentor" you speak of. When you recognized the ablitiy in someone they may not always be willing to share. Men are very guilty of keeping to themselves and not fellowshiping with their brothers in Christ therefore withholding soo much information.

I always believed and will believe that it's better to learn from failed ones rather than from the successful ones 'coz I would believe in defensive methods and only the failed ones know how not to do things .

There are times I become discourage because of my situation. Just when it seems as though I'm making progress in one area something comes up in another. I cry out to God, I praise in when things are good and when things are not so good. I do ask him "Why Me"? I do listen and I think that I apply what I hear, so what am I doing wrong.

A wise man listens to sound advice. A fool loves to hear himself.
Thought provocating and soul searching!

The previous responses I can relate to also. Moreover, it has taken me a while to listen to sound mentorship. Most importantly, I have been for the past 7 years, I have restructured my friendships, and I pray that am receptive to someone who is trying to help me. Take this for example in most situations, in "a worldly sense", IF YOU ARE TRYING to do something wrong which may be seen as right in man's eyes or be quoted as "bad" meaning good ; however, we know that it is not the truth. Consequently, if one were embarking on doing the right thing, they would in turn be facing a lot of opposition from family, friends, co-workers, etc. They too may have the complex or "group thinking mentality" of which I know. This brings me to bad company corrupts good judgment or more to the point that one must admit they need help, accept the help, and of course have a mentor that speaks into their life: like I have and thank God for because I was once "ATE UP" (military term) but now I know I'm continually being built up.

Ooooouch yes, I can honestly say that I can very much relate to all of this. Within the last year, I received some revelation concerning this matter. If the Holy Sprit leads you to certain scripture, I was finding myself saying I know what that says. When I failed to go and read it because I knew what it says, I missed up in what God was trying to reveal to me that I had not received yet. This has set me back in several areas. So now when someone says something to me in order to help me I am learning to receive all that I need to know in order to change my situation. No, I am not all there yet. If I were, I would be w/Jesus in heaven. I am forever grateful for Jesus and those He has placed in my life as mentors, and others to motivate me to get to where God wants me to be. I thank the LORD that He has not given up on me. Therefore, I must not give up!

I have been guilty of thinking "I know". I make it a point not to say it because I realize how it sounds but what I should have done was make it a point not to think it and to act on the advice of a mentor. This is another posting that represents a shortcut to true success. Dr. Brown this is gold!

I have worked with many could-be-millionaires down through the years... They can figure out what is right to do; but these people usually have a difficult time trying to figure out how to do what is right.

I know that in my personal experiences, at this point I first begin to procrastinate and lose focus, then the goal begins to fall on my list of priorities due to other obligations, then lastly, I begin to forget about this until something or someone else reminds me of it.

The fact that most ordinary people do not know how to become extrodinary people is amazing and yet sad. I recently have made a decision to go from the norm of society to the elite. I have found that my position and state of living is due to me not thinking "God like". I am finding that the more I seek the Lord and ask him to lead and guide me in every area of my life, to include wealth, the more I find that I Tammie have been going about it all wrong. Remember the Word says that there is a way that seems right to a man, but the end leads to destruction. I have learned to listen to the sound advise that comes my way and not continuing to say "yes I know". The fact of the matter is, if I really knew, then why am I in the same situation once again? I now realize that there is nothing wrong with saying "Please help me". And then applying the wisdom and knowledge that has been afforded to me through wise counsel. Since allowing myself to stop, listen and apply I have learned more than I could have even imagined. Thanks Bishop for the words of truth and encouragement, even when it doesn't feel good at that moment. Now I am able to get out of the rut I have found myself.
