Throughout life, we barter, swap, trade, substitute, switch, change and negotiate; all for the sake of acquiring and increasing our personal portfolio. This course of action helps us feed our families, clothe and educate our children, and grow our income and businesses. Knowing the mechanics of how this law works and how it must be engaged will be the one major component that separates the haves, those that have little and the have-nots.
The Quintessential of Progress
Those who do not understand this law usually live a rather stifled life. Their entire life is halted because the essential element of life is not in force. Exchange is movement and movement is necessary for growth. Imagine if every person holds onto what they have, the world’s economies will cease in their movement, technology will stop advancing and people will die at an alarming rate around the world because there will not be enough food to go around. The law of exchange is the quintessential of progression.
When you have an eye-opening revelation of the law of exchange, you become increasingly conscious of the need to have something in order to acquire what you want. Within every human being is a deep-seated desire to trade or barter. We are inherently always exchanging.
How Exchange Affects Life
When you go to your place of employment to work, you exchange your time, energy and intellect for a salary or an hourly wage. When you go to the store, you exchanged the money you made from your job for the items you selected in the store; when you stood before the clergyperson with your fiancé, you exchange vows to get married; and the list goes on. Even sex involves the exchange system. Exchange is the natural process of life.
How Exchange Can Increase Income
So, how can understanding the law of exchange affect my income? Simple. Exchange channels involvement. To be successful at the game of exchange, strategy must be implemented. Owning or having something does not automatically put you in the game of building wealth, being ready to exchange does. Peter McWilliams said, “If you’re not actively involved in getting what you want, you don’t really want it.” Imagine playing the game of Monopoly with three other players. Once the property has all been acquired, if no one wants to buy and trade their property for fear of losing the game, no one will win the game. Moreover, all four players will eventually be oscillated into a deep sleep from boredom. Exchange connects you to the possibility of wealth. Three things will happen when you exchange:
- Possibilities for more increase.
- It triggers ideas, concepts and strategies to improve your chances for increase.
- You will attract other traders and those who are willing to negotiate.
Implementing Exchange
If a farmer decides not to place seeds in his field one year, it is insane for that same farmer to stand in his field during harvest and complain about the crops being absent. Start a business by creating a service or selling a product. Acquire things so you can have things to exchange. Banks loan you money and you return to them interest. Trees and plants provide humanity oxygen, and humanity gives the plants carbon dioxide. The system of exchange never ceases. Therefore, continue to exact business because exchange is what makes the world go around.
