Shattering The Mold of Mediocrity

Inspiration can come from so many different sources, but can you muster the kind of inspiration from within to propel you towards achieving your goals while facing discouragement? Can a person inspire him or herself?

Self motivation is something that originates from within and helps you to overcome barriers while you pursue your goals and aspirations. The quickest killer of pursuit is discouragement and the quickest killer of discouragement is pursuit. In other words, the end result will be either pursuit or discouragement; depending on which one a person will capitulate to. To be inspired from within increases your greatest potential to succeed.

Knowing what you have to do and how to do is a sign of mental clarity. Without focus, you have nothing to work toward except what you don’t want. Learning how to mentally file your brain’s information is the key to organizing your life. People often struggle in the area of mental stability because their thoughts are unorganized. Fear and shyness comes from uncertainty and uncertainty comes from being uninformed.

A person will have little or no confidence without information and understanding the dynamics of mentally filing the information for peak performance in life or business. Instead of pushing towards excellence, which is the after effect of performing foundational principles at a high level, focus your efforts on gaining mental clarity. Or else you may find yourself slowly building toward an ultimate goal that is more difficult to achieve without understanding the prerequisites, and you end up working on a bunch of small negative goals which has nothing to do with your dream. This will eventually end up creating confusion, discouragement and worst of all, failure. If your inspiration comes and you set an ultimate goal, it will be easy for you to develop a clear plan of action on how to get there.

“To dream anything that you want to dream, That’s the beauty of the human mind.
To do anything that you want to do, That is the strength of the human will.
To trust yourself to test your limits, That is the courage to succeed.”

~Bernard Edmonds

When your thoughts are organized and you are not moving forward, you will feel like exploding. While others dare not to move, you are compelled by mental clarity to move in areas where most people wrestle with fear. This is when you know exactly what you want to do, and you are able to pull all the resources together, even the ones that are not readily accessible, because you have inspired ideas on how to do it.

Inspiration is a powerful force. However, action inspired by a specific inspiration is one of the most powerful ways to motivate you. SEE YOU AT THE TOP!

So often I have looked to miniscule ideologies and people to be an inspiration to me, only to experience the abandonment that comes with it. I wasn’t until I began to seek God in discovering who I am and more importantly who’s I am. This understanding came by way of actively searching for information that would lead me in the right direction. I whole heartedly agree with Dr. Brown that “readers and leaders and leaders are readers.” Two of the most profound books that I have read and continue to re-read is 1.) The Word of God and 2.) Unexpected Treasures. If you want to move beyond your current status and tired of fitting in with the status quo then recognize what’s inside you and begin to motivate yourself when no one else will.
