I've been feeling like a failure lately. It seems that everything I do goes wrong in my LIFE. I just don't know anymore, how much more will I have to go through? Even with my attempt to get closer to God has failed.

You know yesterday when my alarm clock sounded it was tuned to a country station and the lyrics to this song said "if you're going through hell keep moving, if your afraid don't show it keep moving cuz you might make it out before the devil even knows it" It was comical at the time but it really hit home.

Then I remembered Donnie McClurkin "We fall down, but we get up" At times I do feel like a failure, but when I look back on what God has done, where He's brought me from and what His word says I am encouraged to keep moving forward. Yes, I may and will fail but I will not stop and throw a pity-party but thank God for preparing me for the next level. We must learn to turn our stumbling blocks into stepping stones. And I for one, believes that this forum will help us do just that.

Having attempted things and failing used to get me down "big time". Now I realize that failure is not fatal nor success final but to keep pushing. I look at it like this, muscle failure in working out is good to build you up. Failure is not the optimum result we want but unless we give up it will make me stronger.

Failure to me is a lesson to be learned. Not everything I did was a failure, just needed to be tweaked. I have failed in the past and stuck it out. Yes I was depressed and through working on myself and allgning with my spiritual side, I was able to get through the depression and come back. The roads in life are a lot like the streets in El Paso, fixed and torn up again, full of pot holes and nice and smooth at times. However, you just keep moving and ignore the pot holes as long as you have not had too much liquid. There is a stretch of road between El Paso and Las Cruces called the safety corridor. It is smooth and a comfortable ride and very enjoyable to travel. That is like being connected to our Lord. That is when it gets better and you enjoy life. On the other sides, it is when we lose sight of our spiritual side and join the human race with all the negative aspects of life. Life has its pot holes also.
