Dear Don,

Let me first assure you of the ethical stand I take with my life, businesses, and books. I appreciate your response and so let me get straight to the point. The scripture refers to Jesus being the author and finisher of our faith. Not only the faith of our belief, but the faith by which every Christian's life should be govern. Also, the Bible points to faith coming by the word of God and John says that He (Jesus) is the Word. In the Old Testament, it referred to the Lord being our trust, which could be used interchangeably with NT faith. Faith is substantiated by its own authority and is unadulterated by any other spiritual, social, civil, and or individual power. I make no claims as of a higher power, other than the Jehovah God that I have personally come to know and rest my entire success upon. Thank you for responding.

I'm startled by this phrase you use. "Faith rests in its own pool of authority, and it is the force behind every movement and action." What scripture do you base this on? This is the danger of making "large good-feeling" statements that have no scriptural basis. Any type of true faith rests in an object or person that the faith is exercised in. Faith cannot rest in its self or it is faith in faith and that is meaningless. Faith rests in the pool of authority that flows from God who blessed the heart of faith because it is postured the way God intended.
