Four Principles of Life

Four Success Principles

How would you like to achieve virtually any goal you envision? Do you want to be the success you were meant to be? The Four Principles of Life will help you turn stress to your advantage and turn fear into confidence.

It is not how good you are; it is how good you want to be. It matters very little where you are when you are not interested in going anywhere. The hustle and bustle of life has misdirected more people than one can possibly imagine. Generally, people start doing one thing, but end up doing something very different from what they started doing. They get so busy living life, that they have forgotten how they want their lives to be lived.

The Four Principles of Life will help you to be productive and creative with your life. While people are always looking for ways to improve their lives, they make very little effort to protect the investments they have made in themselves.

Recapture your fervor, unlock your potential, and fine-tune your skills. Below is the acronym for LIFE. As you read and apply these principles, your life will take on a completely new perspective. Even if you don’t see an immediate change in your life, you will experience a gradual change.

L= Live: Every person dies, not every person lives.

  1. Live life on purpose!
  2. Be smart with the moments you have because you can never redeem them. Your life is nothing more than moments and events that mark certain periods of your life. Make your minutes count!
  3. Learn to appreciate the few body marks that remind you of where you have been in life.

A person starts to live when he can live outside himself.

~ Albert Einstein

If you say that life is not worth living, it is because somewhere along the building process you mistaken quantity for quality. The quality of a person’s life is established with the quality of the material used to build it.

I= Initiate: Don’t wait for an opportunity for your ship to come in — build one.

  • It is more rewarding to initiate your next move than to procrastinate and wait for someone to move you.
  • If you want more from your life, demand it, but be specific about what you want.
  • If you don’t like the direction your life is moving in, change it! It’s your life.

F= Foundation: Without a foundation, we are condemned to live essentially formless lives.

A foundation is the support for a building. It usually starts below the ground and ends on the surface. The foundation helps to transfer and distribute the weight of the building as it sits.

For support of an idea, it is the basis of something such as a theory or an idea. You have to have a foundation for marriage; for finances; business; family, etc.

E= Enthusiasm: Energy is needed in everything you do. Your attitude should be fueled with enthusiasm instead of melancholy.

Enthusiasm is the mother of effort, and without it nothing great was ever achieved.

~Ralph Waldo Emerson

When you take the worth out of living, life is not worth living. Enthusiasm is one of your most powerful assets because with it you can climb the mountain of despair, swim the length of an ocean of discouragement and rise above the disappointments in life.

In the absence of enthusiasm, all you have is movement without progression. When the fuel has run out of your automobile, what you have is an auto that is no longer mobile.

“It’s faith in something and enthusiasm for something that makes a life worth living.” Oliver Wendell Holmes
